SOME of East Lothian’s 2020 local heroes have been rewarded for their work during the pandemic by Co-op Funeralcare. Nominated by staff at each East Lothian parlour, they were presented with a hamper to thank them for the hard work, kindness and support they showed during last year’s lockdown. Each hamper was filled with sweet treats, snacks, nibbles and a bottle of prosecco, filled by the Co-op Funeralcare and grocery store in Tranent. Well-known fundraiser and Radio Saltire DJ Davie Martin was recognised for his role helping the local community, including playing music at funerals during restrictions free of charge.
