Using-a- conservative-Midwest-philosophy- -Evco-Plastics-wins-Processor-of-the-Year

Plastics News photo by Michael A. Marcotte Dale Evans accepts the Plastics News Processor of the Year award at the Executive Forum in Naples, Fla. Oshkosh, Wis. To hear Dale Evans say it, the people running Evco Plastics Inc. are simple, humble Wisconsin farm folk who are in the middle of a $12 million investment to expand in the United States, China and Mexico. Don t be fooled by Evans soft-spoken demeanor. Evco, which turned 50 years old in 2014, helped pioneer the plastics factory of the future, dubbed the Advanced Manufacturing Plant (AMP), and established a mold-building factory in China and both big moves came in 1989, well before other plastics processors.

Tourists in Hawaii are renting U-Hauls because cars are hard to find and expensive

At Lucky Owl Car Rental, which operates out of a Mapunapuna Street office and parking area near Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, requests for a car in its 175-vehicle fleet grew significantly from February to around mid-March around the peak of spring break in the U.S. “We ourselves are probably turning away 100 customers plus a day because we’re getting that many requests for cars, said Tom Pirog, a manager at Lucky Owl. “Our quote request doubled or tripled around that time (spring break ) . and it’s been that way pretty much since the second week of March.”

Concern over mounds of rubbish at Jack Russell Close, Stroud

MOUNDS of rubbish have been causing concern to residents at Jack Russell Close in Stroud. Householders say the bin store is not large enough to accommodate all their rubbish and it is regularly overflowing with bin bags. One tenant, who does not wish to be named, said that the waste build-up has become a hygiene concern and is attracting rats. The Close is owned and maintained by Sovereign, one of the largest housing associations in the UK. Sovereign say that the waste storage compartment at the site is large enough for the rubbish generated by tenants, but they believe the issue has been caused by fly tippers, who have been adding their bin bags to those of the tenants. The bin store is located on a public path and so is easily accessible.
