The mass vaccination event at Bank of America Stadium, is anticipated to administer approximately 19,000 first dose vaccines over the three-day period, serving both drive-up and walk-up traffic, from Fri., Jan. 29 to Sun., Jan. 31. It s one of the largest vaccination sites in the country and the largest in North Carolina, based on anticipated patient throughput. There are no out-of-pocket costs for patients to receive the vaccine.

First Mass Vaccination Event From Public-Private Partnership Will Vaccinate Over 16,000 Charlotte Motor Speedway first of two major sports venues to open gates to combat COVID-19 January 22, 2021 CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A major push is underway to get thousands of people across the Charlotte-area vaccinated against the Coronavirus.  Several corporations are teaming up in an effort to save lives.  Friday, a unique public-private partnership kicked off the first of several mass vaccination events in the community.  It began at Charlotte Motor Speedway. “We started at 7:30 this morning, and the first patient rolled in at 4:52 a.m. just to be sure that individual was ready to go” says Greg Walter with Charlotte Motor Speedway.
