The recording aims to raise awareness of the Actors’ Benevolent Fund (ABF), which has received more requests for help this year than ever before.
Lumley said Charles had been “desperate” about the plight of actors and those working in the performing arts industry whose ability to work had been affected by theatre closures due to the coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
