For ages, I didn’t “get” Schitt’s Creek. I couldn’t understand why everyone and their mother was fawning all over it. Then in lockdown, I gave it a good chance and I fell madly, wildly in love. One of the best parts? How nobody makes a big deal about David being pansexual.
He likes girls, he prefers guys, and that’s just how it is. But it’s his relationship with Patrick that’s truly amazing – the most naturally depicted gay relationship I’ve ever seen on screen – and hilarious, too.

Compare the Market’s Sergei and Aleksandr are celebrating the launch of the brand’s Meerkat Mondays promotion with the glitz and glamour of a musical number.
Meerkat Mondays was launched several weeks ago, offering Compare the Market’s customers memberships to the rewards program that lets them play for $20,000 of prizes awarded every Monday for six months.
The ad kicks off with meerkats Aleksandr and Sergei needing some Monday joy after a year of lockdown. The live performers dancing with Sergei and Aleksandr were shot in Lisbon due to COVID-19 restrictions.

At 87, entertainer Barry Humphries is still going strong, along with the characters he created – Sir Les Patterson, and Dame Edna. At great expense we have brought the three of them together to talk about how comedy, theatre and life have weathered the lockdown. It hasn’t been easy.
Barry himself has not set foot on a stage for a whole year. We found him sizing up the Hampstead Theatre Club for a possible future gig – as yet unscheduled. He was in an expansive mood – frankly hungry to talk to anyone – even me.
