SAN FRANCISCO – Camryn Bynum (first team) and Cameron Goode (second team) led 12 Cal football student-athletes selected when the Pac-12 announced its 2020 Football All-Conference honors as well as its annual performance awards and yearly recognitions on Tuesday. Nine others – Kekoa Crawford, Jake Curhan, Kuony Deng, Josh Drayden, Brett Johnson, Zeandae Johnson, Nikko Remigio, Michael Saffell and Jake Tonges – were named honorable mention, while Damien Moore added an honorable mention selection for the league s Freshman Offensive Player of the Year.
Bynum s All-Pac-12 selection was his third in as many seasons in the vote of the league s coaches after he was a second-teamer as a 2019 junior and honorable mention pick during his 2018 sophomore campaign. Curhan, Deng, Goode and Zeandae Johnson were all previously honorable mention picks in 2019, while Crawford, Drayden, Brett Johnson, Moore, Remigio and Tonges were honored for the first time.

Cal’s season ended the way it began with a cancellation due to COVID-19. The Bears finished 1-3 after a difficult season that was marred by special teams errors and close losses. By the time the blue and gold won their first game, a 21-17 upset over then-No. 23 Oregon, the season was already coming to a close. After two cancellations, that culmination became official.
2020 will largely be remembered for the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on college football, but there are still things for Cal fans to take away. The Daily Californian’s football beat writers break down what came and went from the Bears’ season.

Update 12/10/20: This article has been updated to reflect a new kickoff time.
Grab your scarves, put on your hats and throw on at least one extra layer this weekend. Cal (1-3) is playing Washington State (1-2) in Pullman.
Temperatures will rise to a rosy 34 degrees Fahrenheit on Saturday and rest at perhaps a comfortable 30 degrees when the Cougars kick off against the Bears at 1:00 p.m. for a Pac-12 below-freezing matchup.
The cold is just another obstacle, though just another part of the two teams’ penultimate Pac-12 game.
