Almost one year since the coronavirus began ravaging through New York City and upending life as we thought we knew it, it is eerily apt that the A/W 2021 season of New York Fashion Week marked an equally transitional time in fashion and beyond as the world as a whole teeters between hanging onto old ways and embracing the new.

Ella Emhoff has made her catwalk debut this week after becoming one of the surprise stars of January s Presidential Inauguration, during which her step-mother Kamala Harris was made the first female, as well as the first African American and Indian, Vice President of the United States.
The 21-year-old was signed alongside the Inauguration Poet Amanda Gorman to IMG Models last month, the same agency that counts Gigi Hadid, Kate Moss and Gisele Bundchen on its books.
