MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Trevor Rogers scattered six hits while striking out seven in six innings to shut down the Milwaukee Brewers in the Marlins’ 8-0 win in Milwaukee on Monday night.
One of the lone bright spots for the Brewers was Kolten Wong, who had three hits. Brewers’ pitcher Corbin Burnes, despite striking out nine Marlins, gave up eight hits and four earned runs in five innings. It was not a performance many expected considering his ERA going into the game was 0.37 .
Corey Dickerson went 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI to lead the way for the Miami offense.
