ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- Albuquerque is giving electric buses another chance.
They failed in years past when the city rolled out Albuquerque Rapid Transit.
The new Proterra Catalyst E2 bus will be in use starting Saturday.
It will run the 66-Central route at first, but officials want to test it out in different parts of the city to see what its battery life is like. We want to see how it does on terrain, how it does with a full load, how it does with different temperatures going up and down hills, said Danny Holcomb, Transit Department Director.
