Once again, students from Pine View School finished ahead of most students their age in mathematics.
A team of five students ended up in the top 10 teams nationwide in the MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge, which challenges students to use math modeling to solve a global issue.
Each year, Pine View teacher Mark Mattia creates two teams of five students each to compete.
“We’re taking the students that are highly intrinsically motivated,” Mattia said. “If they’re doing this, it’s not for the scholarships that they can receive. It’s because they’re interested in it. This is what they do.”

It’s truly amazing, how someone can use something as simple as baking soda or vitamin C to overcome life-threatening conditions. There are so many stories about how people utilize mega-doses of natural substances to wipe out disease, and you’re about to hear one.
This story is about a 74 year old man with stomach cancer, and how he ignored chemotherapy only to overcome his disease with wheatgrass. Danny McDonald from Dunaff, Ireland received terrible news from mainstream medical professionals at the late age of 74. After an ulcer suddenly burst within his abdomen, he was rushed to the hospital where doctors struggled to control the bleeding. But the doctors found something more; they found that a form of stomach cancer had spread throughout his body. Not surprisingly, they advised that McDonald go through intensive chemotherapy.

GUILTY VERDICT REVERBERATES All eyes in Massachusetts were fixed on a courtroom in Minneapolis yesterday, where the former officer who killed George Floyd was found guilty of murder on Tuesday afternoon. The much-anticipated verdict came a year after Floyd’s death sparked widespread protests and
