The Barry County Sheriff's Office is giving thanks to the Girl Scouts (Troop # 71611, Seligman) for all they do after their recent acknowledgment of the Sheriff's Office.
Those who may remember director Taylor Sheridan from his acting days specifically, as Danny Boyd in Veronica Mars or as Deputy Chief David Hale over the first two seasons of Sons of Anarchy may have been surprised to.

Catalyst dubbed the group the “wolfpack” and in November of 2017 sued in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto, alleging the individuals and companies had engaged in a conspiracy to torpedo its troubled publicly traded lending entity, Callidus Capital Corp.
The allegations were based on an article published in the
Wall Street Journal on Aug. 9, 2017, outlining whistleblower accusations against Catalyst and Callidus, which said the article triggered a “chaotic sell-off” of Callidus shares by “naked” short-sellers. The defendants have denied the charges and countersued.

Drugs, firearms found at Eagle Rock home after stakeout
Four people were arrested and two have been charged following a sting in the early morning hours of May 5 at 29482 Farm Road 1218 in Eagle Rock.
George Dittmar, 48, of Eagle Rock, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Ashley West, 28, of Eagle Rock, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Noah Whitehead, deputy with the Barry County Sheriffs Office, law enforcement received a tip about drugs being dealt from the residence. Whitehead kept watch on the house and saw several cars coming and going from the residence.

Minimal damage, fire is under investigation
A fire at Merl s Chapel on Highway Y on May 4 could lead to criminal charges for arson.
The fire was reported to Barry County dispatch at 12:29 p.m. The Cassville Fire Protection first units arrived on scene at 12:45 p.m.
Derek Acheson, Cassville Fire Protection District assistant fire chief, said due to automatic mutual aid agreements, Butterfield Fire was paged out and assisted on the scene.
