COLUMBUS, Ohio – While passing on a statewide run, Franklin County Recorder Danny O’Connor is the latest Ohioan to announce a run for Congress without knowing which communities he might represent.
O’Connor, a Columbus Democrat, had said he was considering running for U.S. Senate in 2022, and also had been rumored as a possible candidate for a down-ballot state office. He raised his profile statewide and even nationally in 2018, when he lost to now-U.S. Rep. Troy Balderson in a hotly-contested special election for a Columbus-area seat.
