Police identify teen victim in deadly Omaha shooting
Police say the shooting happened just after 7 p.m. Tuesday near 18th and Binney streets in north Omaha. Officers who arrived on the scene found 14-year-old Desmond Harrison with a gunshot wound and took measures to try to save his life.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Omaha police say a shooting has left a 14-year-old boy dead.
Police say the shooting happened just after 7 p.m. Tuesday near 18th and Binney streets in north Omaha. Officers who arrived on the scene found 14-year-old Desmond Harrison with a gunshot wound and took measures to try to save his life.

Police Wednesday morning say 14-year-old Desmond Harrison has died.
Investigators say he was rushed from 18th and Binney Streets around seven Tuesday evening in extremely critical condition with C-P-R in progress.
Police say officers originally responded after a ShotSpotter technology alert of numerous gunshots in the area.
The call was then upgraded by 9-1-1 dispatchers to a shooting with one victim.
About an hour earlier, police say three people were taken to a hospital from a traffic crash scene at 31st and Grand Avenues.
Investigators say one person was in critical, two others in serious condition;
While Haig initially had no issue with the niece, the unnamed woman’s father had been in a relationship with Haig’s mother. Haig said the thought of woman’s father caused a lot of anxiety and the chance of being associated with that family again brought that anxiety back.
