One last mock draft roundup? Yes one last mock draft roundup, this time looking at the way too early projections for Washington s draft pick in 2022. The mock drafters do not think Washington will be successful next season, with a draft range from #8 - #23. Vegas has also set expectations below average with a starting line of 8 wins for Washington in 2021. Super Bowl odds are currently at 66/1.
This year’s team is in a lot better spot than it was following last year’s draft. Expectations were low from Vegas, and a lot of fans, as Ron Rivera took over a team coming off of a 3-13 season. A lot has changed since then, Washington got a new name and a new division title to hang on the mantle. The 2021 NFL Draft is in the books, so naturally, it’s time for a way-too-early 2022 Mock Draft.
Why do we do this exercise? For starters, it’s fun, and fans devour it. When we did this last April after the 2020 NFL Draft, we correctly projected 13 of the 32 first-round picks, including direct hits on Justin Fields to the Bears and Micah Parsons to the Cowboys.
But we also do it because it starts the process of analyzing the upcoming college football season. More than anything, it begins our annual deep dive into figuring out who needs what in the NFL.

The 2021 NFL Draft is over, meaning there’s plenty of excitement for everyone at both the college and pro levels. Rookies look forward to their new homes, and their fans in college get excited to see what they can do at the next level. It also means that analysts and scouts turn their attention to the 2022 NFL Draft. The AAC produces a number of talented players go pro every year, but next year could be the best group they’ve produced yet. Let’s take a look at who NFL teams will watch closely this year.
First 2022 Mock!
Not really. But one of the funny things about the PFN mock draft simulator is that as soon as the draft ends, their simulator is updated for the next draft, even though they have no hard knowledge about most things. So you can actually run a 2022 mock if you want. Just for fun, I went to it. Here are some tidbits of information for those of you dying to know the future:
1.) PFN is apparently not impressed with the Giants draft haul, or with Daniel Jones, or something. Here are their top 10 draft positions:
