Updated: 7:36 PM CDT May 26, 2021 Joe Anderton School of Rock star Kevin Clark has sadly died in a tragic cycling accident.TMZ reported that a man on a bicycle was hit by a car in the Northwest side of Chicago early on Wednesday morning and was identified as the actor. The publication states that the 20-year-old woman was not arrested for the accident, but was issued with a citation to attend court.The star played Freddy Jones, one of Jack Black s character Dewey Finn s students in the 2003 film, who served as the drummer.Black paid tribute to his late co-star on Instagram, writing: Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community. In 2018, Clark went to see Black and his band Tenacious D perform in Chicago and shared a photo on his Instagram of the two together. Black wore a T-shirt promoting Clark s band, Dreadwolf.
