The Delhi government today issued a circular advancing the summer vacation in all city schools as the national capital fights a massive battle against coronavirus.
The vacation, earlier scheduled from May 11 to June 3, will now begin from tomorrow and schools will remain shut till June 9, the order said.
Initially, the summer vacation was scheduled to begin on May 11 and last till June 3. As per the state government s directions, the summer vacation will now begin from April 20, i.e. tomorrow, and last till June 9

The Delhi Education Board has announced summer vacation for all government and government-aided schools in the national capital due to concerns over Covid-19. The summer vacations will be observed from May 11 to June 30, as per the official notification released by the Directorate of Education (DOE).
In the current view of the COVID-19 situation, students will not be called to schools, however, vacation staff can be called by school principals for any school-related work such as academic, admission, examination etc., as per DoE’s order.

At a time when an outbreak of coronavirus has forced the school students to stay at home and continue their studies online, children of labourers and daily wage workers have no choice but to skip their studies as they can merely afford a smartphone or 24 hours Internet connectivity. Keeping this in mind some Delhi Samaritans, who themselves are students, have started teaching these children.
