A similar incident took place in October, 2020, in West Delhi where the Delhi Police had booked six DCD volunteers for allegedly beating up a head constable.
A heated argument turned into a violent clash between a Delhi Civil Defence (DCD) volunteer and a student on a South Delhi road on Monday (5 April). The video of the incident went viral on Tuesday (6 April).
There are two videos doing the rounds on social media. In the first video clip, a DCD volunteer, who was issuing challans to people who were not wearing a mask, is seen beating a student with a belt on the road. A man along with other DCD volunteers can also be seen stopping the violent volunteer.
