After the product was announced and launched in April earlier this year, Australian retailers - starting with Officeworks - withdrew the Apple AirTag from sale despite there being no recall or warning on the product. Apple at the time, and still today, state that the product meets Australian and International child safety regulations for button batteries, with a two-step push and twist battery cover in place.
