A Delaware County mother and her boyfriend were arrested on first-degree murder charges on Tuesday, accused of fatally beating the woman’s 18-month-old daughter.
Kandie A. Meinhart, 31, and Maurice Eugene Davis, 29 are each facing a slew of charges, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of children, according to online court dockets.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the arrests of the Chester couple are coming more than five months after the death of Meinhart’s daughter, Li’Aziah Thomas. It is also a month after Meinhart went on TV to say she didn’t do it.
