Several East Central Indiana counties increase in COVID-19 ranking

MUNCIE, Ind.  Local numbers of COVID-19 cases are worsening, even if Delaware County s COVID-19 ranking from the state, which is used to track the spread of the virus in local communities, hasn t changed (yet). The Indiana State Department of Health assigns every county a color each week based on its weekly case total per 100,000 residents and positivity rate. Each of those two categories is given a score and then averaged to determine rank. Blue is the best rank, for counties with the lowest COVID-19 spread, with the color coding increasing from blue to yellow, orange and then red depending on a community s spread.

Party Girl Hill Retired | Standardbred Canada

Party Girl Hill, the world-record-setting 2020 Dan Patch Award winner for best three-year-old pacing female, has been retired because of an injury discovered after training this past weekend. Chris Ryder, who trained the mare for breeder-owner Tom Hill, said Party Girl Hill was nearly ready to qualify in preparation for her four-year-old campaign. “We’re all devastated,” Ryder said Monday. “She had been training back terrific. It’s just a shame; a shame for her and a shame for us not to be able to see what she could do as an aged horse. It’s a real loss. She was so special.”
