The Board of Supervisors’ Public Works Committee on Monday handled the matters at the County Office Building. County Solid Waste Director David Rhodes brought before the committee a proposed resolution referring a home at 1 Oakland Ave., Gloversville, to the Fulton County Demolition Team to be razed per Operation Green Scene. The resolution passed, and was passed on to the full board for final action May 10.

manich@leaderherald.com JOHNSTOWN The Fulton County Board of Supervisors last week approved the sale of a tax-foreclosed property in the city of Gloversville to a private owner in what officials said is a “unique” situation due to COVID. The board authorized sale of a property at 59 Bloomingdale Ave. to adjacent property owner Keith Lachmayer as part of the county’s Operation Green Scene. The vacant parcel sold for $500. The resolution approved at the County Office Building indicated that County Treasurer Terry Blodgett was contacted by Lachmayer. “Mr. Lachmayer has expressed interest in improving the vacant parcel to be used in conjunction with his next-door residence,” the resolution said.

Supervisor s approve contract with Minn firm for data collection software | News, Sports, Jobs

manich@leaderherald.com JOHNSTOWN The Fulton County Board of Supervisors recently approved a contract with a Minnesota firm for a data collection software program that will promote Occupancy Tax compliance in the county Treasurer’s Office. The board authorized a $14,700 contract with Granicus which runs through Feb. 28, 2022. The board in 2017 adopted a local law establishing an Occupancy Tax in Fulton County. The Treasurer’s Office is tasked with collecting tax payments, which include small establishments and/or individual owners that use an online reservation system. Treasurer Terry Blodgett was notified by Granicus that its software collects short-term rental information. In other business, the board voted to approve a $34,490 contract amendment with Tyler Technologies of Troy, Mich. for site licensing as a component of the county Sheriff’s Department’s CAD/RMS System.
