ENDICOTT (WBNG) Glendale Park in Endicott lost numerous trees Wednesday night as a result of the strong thunderstorms rolling through the region. Many residents were sad about the loss of the willow trees that became uprooted and the potential cost to replace them.
Yet, there is good news because of a series of actions that have taken place over the previous year that will help the town replant all of the lost trees.
It all starts back in December of 2020 when 35 trees were cut down on South Street in Endicott. Town officials were surprised by the communities response to the removal of the trees and wanted to use it as an educational experience.
