A car thief in Houston made the disastrous mistake of choosing UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis vehicle to break in to.
Lewis, who is touted as Francis Ngannou s next opponent for the title, knocked the thief out before calling Houston Police, who took him away.
Known for his KO power, it was the thief rather than an unfortunate rival in the octagon on the receiving end and Lewis documented the aftermath on his Instagram page.

Heavyweight contender Derrick Lewis is looking to stay active following his sensational knockout victory over Curtis Blaydes at UFC Vegas 19.
Lewis (25-7 MMA) squared off with Blaydes (14-3 MMA) on February 20 in a highly anticipated heavyweight bout. The result was a knockout victory for ‘The Black Beast’, who was able to put ‘Razor’ to sleep early in the second round after landing a nasty uppercut.
The emphatic victory marked Derrick Lewis’ fourth in a row, as he had previously wins over Aleksei Oleinik, Ilir Latifi and Blagoy Ivanov.
Now back in title contention, Lewis is looking to stay busy rather than wait around for a potential second crack at UFC gold.

Undefeated UFC heavyweight Ciryl Gane has responded after receiving a callout from former division title challenger Derrick Lewis.
Lewis and Gane are both coming off of recent Octagon victories.
‘The Black Beast’ extended his current winning streak to four in a row on February 20, scoring a sensation second round knockout victory over perennial division contender Curtis Blaydes. Prior to sleeping ‘Razor’, Derrick Lewis (25-7 MMA) had earned victories over Aleksei Oleinik, Ilir Latifi and Blagoy Ivanov.
As for Ciryl Gane (8-0 MMA), the undefeated Frenchman is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Jairzinho Rozenstruik in his most recent effort two weeks ago. Although the contest was not the most fan friendly affair, the result solidified Gane as being a top contender at heavyweight.

In a largely tentative and tepid UFC Vegas 20 headliner, French standout, Ciryl Gane took home a one-sided unanimous decision win over a lacklustre, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and off the back of his first promotional headliner, Gane plans to make a title run in the ever-evolving heavyweight division.
Utilising his almost unrivalled movement and distance management at the weight class, Gane took a straight forward 50-45 unanimous decision win on all three judge’s scorecards. And come the release of the official rankings over the course of next week, the Ferland Lopez and MMA Factory staple is likely to claim the faltering, Rozenstruik’s #4 rank at heavyweight.

For the first time in ages, the heavyweight division feels like it has a fresh set of contenders and potentially future champions (just look at last Saturday’s winners Chris Daukaus, Tom Aspinall, and Serghei Spivac). But there’s a logjam at the top that needs to be resolved and until it does, the UFC’s heaviest weight class is going to continue moving at a glacial pace.
Derrick Lewis’ knockout of Curtis Blaydes didn’t clear up the situation much and there’s no way to tell how much closer Rozenstruik or Gane get to a title shot with a win. The good thing for the fans is none of that matters because we get to watch two of the UFC’s most intriguing heavyweight contenders throw down in what could be a more tactical battle than expected.
