PHOENIX Phoenix police have arrested two people who, they say, were involved in the 2018 hit-and-run that killed 21-year-old Taylor White while he was jogging near 35th Avenue and Camelback Road near the Grand Canyon University campus.
“What a crazy day. For justice to finally come about. Today, the three-year anniversary,” said Angela White, Taylor s mom.
Taylor White was killed on April 8, 2018 by a hit-and-run driver who ran a red light. Taylor and a friend were on an evening jog near Grand Canyon University. At the time, police were looking for the driver of a white SUV.

PHOENIX (KRDO) Nearly three years after 21-year-old Taylor White was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Phoenix, Arizona, police say two people have been arrested for murder and other charges.
White was killed in April 2018 when he was jogging near his university. He was in a crosswalk at N. 31st Ave. and W. Camelback Road when he was hit by a white SUV that moved around cars to drive through the intersection.
This week, Phoenix Police announced that 29-year-old Barringtina Mathis and 29-year-old Adrian Favela were booked into jail in connection with White s death. The pair face charges of obstructing an investigation, second-degree murder, and other charges.

PHOENIX â Three years after a Grand Canyon University student was killed in a hit-and-run crash, Phoenix police say arrests have been made.
Friends and family described White as an adventurous and outgoing man who perhaps was best known for providing good times and lifelong memories. He was engaged to be married when the crash occurred.

PHOENIX (AP) A Peoria couple has been arrested in a hit-and-run crash in which a SUV struck and killed a 21-year-old Grand Canyon University student in a Phoenix crosswalk, authorities said Thursday on the three-year anniversary of the death.
Police said Adrian Favela, 29, was driving the SUV that struck Taylor White the evening of April 8, 2018 and Barringtina Mathis, 29, reported after the crash that her vehicle was stolen earlier, police said,
Favela was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree murder, conspiracy and other crimes while Mathis was arrested on suspicion of arson, conspiracy and other crimes.

Taylor White was jogging with a 17-year-old teen in the crosswalk near 31st Avenue and Camelback Road when a white-colored SUV ran a red light and hit White. From what we were told by police, they believe a vehicle swerved around another vehicle heading westbound on Camelback and immediately hit Taylor, said Taylor s father, Nate White.
