The three-year-old has now raised £10,187.17 for Hornchurch charity First Step. - Credit: First Step A three-year-old girl with cerebral palsy has raised more than £10,000 for charity after taking on the Captain Tom 100 challenge. Freya - whose mum doesn t wish to reveal her surname - was diagnosed with the condition at eight months old, and now attends First Step in Hornchurch where she works with early years leader Debbie Bennett. Mum Emily signed Freya up for the challenge to give back to the facility, which she describes as a Godsend .

Scheduled for the upcoming bank holiday - on what would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore s 101st birthday - three-year-old Freya will walk 100 steps in her walking frame each day of the long weekend. All proceeds raised will go to Tangmere Crescent charity First Step, which has helped Havering children with various specialist needs since 1988.

Colchester and Ipswich Museums launched Museum From Home during the first national lockdown and it has continued to be available across the most recent lockdown. With schools currently closed, Colchester Castle is missing its regular school visitors, so has teamed up once more with the Essex and Suffolk Children’s University to bring a slice of museum life to families at home. More structured national curriculum resources are now also available to schools and home learning providers to either use in the school environment or through home learning.

Chamber Elects New Board and Officers By Staff | Feb 9, 2021 The Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce held its annual membership meeting over the internet platform Zoom on Thursday, January 21st. At the meetings, members voted on new Directors to add to the Board as well as a revision of the By-laws. Six names were on the ballot for the Board of Directors and all six were approved as Board Members, with terms ending in 2023. Of those, three were returning members, Ashley Blake with WesBanco in Pine Grove, Julia Matheny with Bayer Heritage FCU & Tina Rush, Local Government Affairs Representative for MPLX.
