Weekender: Left Coast Chamber; Catalyst Time Piece and More Art

Thursday, Feb, 4, 12:05 p.m. to 1 p.m., free, via Worlds collide as UC Davis graduate students in music and the creative writing program come together to bring us a performance. This concert will showcase collaborative works among five creative writing MFA students and four doctoral students in music composition and theory. The noon concert will also include music, theatre and dance students performing, as well as music faculty. The prerecorded concert will be shown on the and available for viewing after its premiere, Feb. 4, 12:05 p.m to 1 p.m. This is the third year of the collaboration. Originally scheduled for spring 2020, the concert was delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

RICHARD MOORE, 77 Jan 13, 2021 9:57 AM Richard A. Moore, 77, of Indiana, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born September 22, 1943, in Los Angeles to Allan and Ruth Murphy Moore. In addition to being a loving husband and father, Richard Moore was an innovator a craftsman and an artist. He grew up in Los Angeles attending Glendale College prior to being drafted by the United States Army. He spent two years in Alaska, working as a lineman before relocating back to Southern California and honing his skills as a builder, carpenter and architectural drafter. Richard moved to Western Pennsylvania with his wife Lynn, where he would become a master carpenter and customized woodworker. He was employed by C.L. Wells & Son Builders before a work accident rendered him without the full use of his legs. Richard was dealt a difficult hand, but played it magnificently. William Henry Hank Wilson Jr , 92, Army veteran who served his county for 20 years

William H. ‘Hank’ Wilson Jr. HAMPTON Retired U.S. Army Master Sgt. E-8 William Henry “Hank” Wilson Jr., 92, took his last deployment safely home to be with his heavenly Father at 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020. How do you say goodbye to your hero? Hank was our hero. He was born June 8, 1928, to the late William Henry Wilson Sr. and Pearl Williams Wilson and was the second born of six children. Hank was an avid golfer, enjoyed boxing and supporting his Dallas Cowboys. He graduated from Maggie L. Walker High School, Richmond, and joined the U.S. Army. Hank decided to make the Army his career. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years and 20 days of serving our country.
