Noblesville is driving forward with a $113 million plan to rebuild Pleasant Street and erect a bridge over the White River on an alternative route that lessens intrusion in a historic neighborhood.
But the new route will jog through the property of a long-time Noblesville manufacturer which has threatened to move from the city. The project will also require demolishing or acquiring parcels from scores of homes and businesses.
“There will be an impact with something this size,” said City Engineer Alison Krupski.

What s now being branded as the Reimagine Pleasant Street project has been in the planning stages for more than 25 years and is intended to relieve east-west traffic congestion in the growing suburb.
