DENVER Police officers originally feared a Las Vegas-style shooting ahead of the 2021 Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Denver this week may have been in the works, sources told ABC after about 1,000 rounds of ammunition, several long guns and body armor were found inside a room at the Maven Hotel, just blocks from Coors Field, Friday night.
More than a dozen weapons, including 16 long guns, were removed from a room on the eighth floor of the hotel on Wazee Street Friday night after police responded to a tip from one of the hotel s housekeepers, ABC reported. More than 1,000 rounds of ammunition and body armor were also taken from the room, which has a balcony overlooking downtown Denver, according to the report.
