DENVER Police have now arrested two people in connection with the death of 9-month-old Gianna Rosales. The medical examiner said blunt force injuries were the cause of her death.
Gianna was rushed to Denver Health on Aug. 3, 2020, and died the next day, Denver Police Department (DPD) said. Gianna would have turned one-year-old on Oct. 25, 2020.
Jolene Beyer-LaCrue, 19, was arrested by DPD Thursday night for investigation of child abuse resulting in death. LaCrue s boyfriend, Cain Gallardo, 21, was arrested on May 4, DPD said. Gallardo has been charged with two counts of child abuse resulting in death, the Denver District Attorney s Office said.

GRAND COUNTY, Colo. â The husband of Denver District Attorney Beth McCann, who s accused of starting multiple fires in Grand County during a fire ban in 2020, pleaded not guilty to all counts against him Thursday.
âIâm exhausted by the lack of sleep over the worries this has caused, he said over Zoom in Thursday s court hearing.
Grand County District Judge Mary C. Hoak set a five-day trial to start on Oct. 25, 2021 at 8 a.m.

DENVER Denver District Attorney Beth McCann completed the review of a fatal officer-involved shooting that happened near South Colorado Boulevard and East Alameda Avenue last October and said no charges will be filed against the officers involved.
According to a letter outlining her decision, McCann concluded that no criminal charges were warranted against Glendale Police (GPD) officers Neal McCormick and Chandler Phillips.
