According to authorities, all residents children, adults and a dog made it out safely.

Detroit Nearly 12 hours after a fire erupted Friday at a shuttered building on the city s west side, crews remained on the scene.
The blaze at Grand River and Lothrop has been contained but a smaller contingent of firefighters will be continuing to monitor and pour water into the building until they feel it’s no longer a danger, said Dave Fornell, deputy commissioner of the Detroit Fire Department.
Earlier Friday, as many as 60 firefighters battled the blaze at the site.
The fire was reported about 6:40 a.m., Fornell said.
The building, called The Shops at Grand Square, has no second-floor windows, Fornell said.

MSP investigating possible freeway shooting on I-96 that hurt 1

DETROIT (FOX 2) - Michigan State Police is investigating a shooting that possibly happened on the freeway Tuesday evening.
Troopers were called to the eastbound lanes of I-96 near M-39 for a shooting. Troopers saw a Nissan pulled over on the shoulder.
Troopers say the driver of the car had been shot in the leg and was being treated by the Detroit Fire Department.
The driver is in good condition and was taken to the hospital.
The driver said he heard gunshots right after he entered EB I-96 from M-39 or Greenfield.
