Some communities in the county have been out of water for days or are under a boil- water notice.
The county’s Emergency Response Team, which was activated for the winter storm on Feb. 11, began identifying water tanks and trucks available in its inventory to carry water, the county said in a news release, while purchasing agents began looking for additional tanks in the area to buy.
On Saturday, the vehicles were sent to Round Rock, Georgetown and the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park. The city of Georgetown established water distribution sites for the areas of Liberty Hill and Florence in its service area, and residents were invited to bring their own containers to fill up with water.
