BELL COUNTY, Texas A 27-year-old woman from Bastrop was killed in a major crash between a truck tractor semi-trailer and a pick-up truck Tuesday afternoon in Bell County.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to the scene around 12:20 p.m.
Franchesca Meghan Novick was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 pick-up truck on TX-95 and approached a stop sign. According to the Texas DPS, Novick stopped at the stop sign but did not yield right of way and proceeded into the intersection.

Updated at 12:29 p.m. Friday with information from Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers that the crash was not fatal.
Two people were seriously injured in a major crash involving three-vehicles Thursday on northbound Interstate 45 in southern Ellis County, officials said.
It happened around 1:35 p.m. north of Whitfill Road, approximately 4 miles north of the Navarro County line.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers said the driver of a Ford F-150 veered off the service road crossed the median and traveled onto I-45 where it struck a Peterbilt truck.
Due to the impact of the crash, officials said a passenger in the Ford was ejected, before the pickup rolled over, causing the driver to also be ejected from the truck. Investigators do not know what caused the Ford to veer off the road at this time.
