Three people have been arrested in relation to the Days Inn investigation. In a tweet, CSPD said they responded to an open door call just before 7 a.m. on Tuesday at a motel near Texas Avenue and Southwest Parkway. The zoning board held the second in a series of public hearings Dec. 16 on RPM Development LLC’s request for a use variance for its proposed 100% affordable housing development on land off Texas Avenue, at the rear of the Lawrence Shopping Center. The board ran out of time to complete the application and will listen to additional testimony at its Jan. 20 meeting.

ATLANTIC CITY — More than 200 school district employees did not return to work Monday, the f… The most recent Wednesday drive included gift cards donated by Assumption Regional Catholic School in Galloway Township. For 14 years, Assumption’s Student Council has worked to identify students of families in need at Texas Avenue to help them pay for gifts. This year, the council raised more than $1,000 in gift cards for 50 families. Texas Avenue, with the help of Atlantic City’s God Is Reaching Out Ministries and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, also gave out coats and about 100 turkeys. For 15-year-old Christiaan Junne, the weekly drives have been a blessing, as his mother’s been out of work with an injury.
