Farley, Iowa Man Killed Wednesday Night in Rollover Crash According to our news partners at the Telegraph Herald, one person was killed in a rollover crash Wednesday night in Dubuque County. 34 year old Wesley C. Hames, of Farley, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Iowa State Patrol. According to the Iowa State Patrol and Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, a pickup truck was traveling west on U.S. 20 near Olde Paint Lane at about 11:25 p.m. Wednesday when the vehicle went onto the shoulder and the driver lost control of it,  It went into the median, where it rolled, and it rolled again on the eastbound lanes before it came to rest in the south ditch.

The canine member of the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department is now a little more protected on the job. K9 Bane has received a bullet and stab protective vest – thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Bane’s vest was sponsored by Jeff and Tiffany Zimmerman and Family of RT & T Enterprises of East Dubuque. Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. was established in 2009 – it’s a 501©(3) whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. The group has provided over 4,200 vests to K9s in all 50 states – made possible by donations. A single donation of $960 sponsors one vest.
