County to launch Preparedness Council to plan for disasters Spurred by three federally declared disasters in 2020-21, Clackamas County Commssioners announce move The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners has announced it will form a community Emergency Preparedness Council, to help residents int he wake of three federally declared disasters within Clackamas County over the past year. The advisory council is meant to provide community input around specific aspects of disaster planning and response for all types of hazards. Commissioners said the council will strengthen community engagement around emergency preparedness. Responding to emergencies takes a community effort, Clackamas County Board Chair Tootie Smith said. We are grateful to our residents who will work alongside us to prepare in advance of and respond to disasters in Clackamas County.
