Since to-go food got pushed to the forefront of every restaurateur’s mind, chefs have been thinking non-stop about the best ways to make their food exciting, even as it’s unceremoniously delivered to people’s homes in a takeout box. The idea of takeout that goes beyond pizza or ginger beef was novel and exciting back in April, but now that we’re nearly a year into the pandemic it takes something with a bit more pizazz to get people to shell out for a chef-y at-home restaurant meal.
Which is why the takeout offerings from Donna Mac have been such a breath of fresh air over the last few months. The owners of this house in Sydney s east are very open to change, a trait reflected in the fact they ve been renovating, expanding and tweaking their home on and off for the past 11 years. Architect Brooke Aitken was initially engaged in 2009 to improve the family friendliness of the house and to deal with a very tricky issue: the ceiling of the bottom floor was just too low to allow the space to be functional.
PLANNING have been submitted for permission to install electric vehicle charge points at three separate locations. Instavolt Ltd is seeking permission for two chargers at Blackbrook Leisure Centre and Spa and a further two at the Deane House, headquarters of Somerset West and Taunton Council. Bayliss Design has put in for planning for electric chargers and bays along with equipment compound, GRP electrics and sub station at Shell Taunton Deane North services off the M5 just outside the county town. Councillors will make a decision on the applications in due course.

The City of Calgary won t be hosting its usual fireworks show. Instead, it s posted last year s fireworks display to YouTube in case you want to revisit a pre-pandemic celebration. The city won t be issuing any fireworks permits while COVID-19 restrictions are in effect, so don t try to attempt an at-home pyrotechnics display, either.
