A MAN died in an incident on the railway between Bolton and Leyland yesterday afternoon. Officers were sent to Lostock railway station at around 4.40pm after reports of a casualty on the tracks. Emergency services arrived but a man was discovered to have died. No more details have been released about the incident other than that a file will be prepared for the coroner. There were train delays between Bolton, Wigan and Preston. A British Transport Police spokesman said: Officers were called to Lostock railway station, Bolton, at 4.38pm on Tuesday following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
