13 Mussoorie Review: Decent Crime Fare That Stops Short of Being Classic | Bollywood

Voot Select has had some decent fare in the last one year plus. It adds “13 Mussoorie” to this list: a crime thriller and a serial killer murder mystery that is compelling in parts, more than decent in the way it plays out, but short of a classic, which it could easily have been. But perhaps the biggest mystery about it is that when I went on IMDb.com to check on its cast, I found that the show was to premiere Oct. 2018! Intrigued, I went on Google and even saw a single review dated that year! Wonder then, why it was finally streamed only a few weeks ago!

Ramyug Review: This Rama-Yarn is a Rama-Yawn! | Bollywood

MUMBAI — When the intentions are confused, the result is ditto. ‘Ramyug” is proof of this. Modernization of the narration of an epic should not go to this extent. The modern references, as during Raavan’s last interaction with Ram, are definitely forced in. An epic becomes a re-told clichéd yarn that, in toto, is a yawn! The plus point (for some of GenY) may be the quick or not-so-quick flashbacks on the rest of the story (of “Ramayan”), as this show begins with Sita being kidnapped by Raavan. The flashbacks are about the Svayamvar, then Queen Kaikeyi’s demand for her son Bharat to be crowned, and King Dasharath’s heart being broken. The Jatayu and Surpanaka stories are also woven in as narratives later rather than when they actually happened in the narrative. This story thus is a non-linear narration.

UK-based producer Mohaan Nadaar signs director Dhiraj Devendra Kotkar for two films ANI | Updated: Feb 16, 2021 19:27 IST Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 16 (ANI/NewsVoir): UK-based producer Mohaan Nadaar signed The Incomplete Man fame director Dhiraj Devendra Kotkar for two movies. Script for both the women-centric films has just been completed. The first film is to be shot extensively in Uttarakhand. The second project is based in The United Kingdom, which is to be filmed entirely at various locations in the UK. The first to go on the floor is about a serial killer. For decades a serial killer had camouflaged himself well in a small town in Uttarakhand, the hilly state of northern India. Till something close to home triggers his urge to be stopped. A cat and mouse play ensues between the serial killer and the young female IPS officer out there to prove her mettle in a field that is considered to be a male domain.
