A ONE-way system will be introduced on the walkway around West Kirby Marine Lake from next week to help path users maintain social distance. Footfall at popular walking destinations, including West Kirby Marine Lake has increased during lockdown and the council will trial a one-way system to help keep walkers and path users safe, particularly during busy times. Residents wanting to walk around West Kirby Marine Lake should use the entrance at Dee Lane (opposite supermarket car park) and walk in an anticlockwise direction, exiting at Sandy Lane. To complete the work to install the one-way system, the lake path will be closed to residents on Monday 8 February between 8am and 4pm. Work is subject to weather conditions.
