So I have noticed a trend of late on
The Roar, that is people writing reviews or re-caps or their favourite team’s performance, such as the fine work by the Sports Bloke regarding Collingwood Magpies, or Jacob Walton’s work with the suddenly resurgent Adelaide Crows.
So I have decided to try my hand at this, and I intend to do so for every Essendon game remaining this year (come hell or high-water). So without further ado let us begin.

The veteran forward began proceedings by kicking the first goal of the afternoon as Essendon led from siren to siren, dealing St Kilda s season a devastating blow.
Stringer, who missed the majority of last season with a syndesmosis injury, paid credit to the Essendon fitness staff, who had forced him to get his match fitness through the VFL. Essendon coach Ben Rutten is adamant there won t be extra pressure on the returning Jake Stringer as the Bombers attempt to bounce back from last week s flop against Port Adelaide.
Stringer will be a key inclusion for Saturday s clash with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium, while former Eagles forward Alec Waterman and No.9 draft pick Archie Perkins will make their AFL debuts.
The Bombers copped a 54-point thumping from Port Adelaide last week and managed just nine goals for the match.
Only five Essendon players got on the goalsheet against the Power, with the Bombers (0-2) already staring at the prospect of another bleak season.
