Normally at this time of year, Ralph Meranto, the artistic director at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester’s CenterStage, would be focused on planning upcoming productions for his 300-seat theater. But these aren’t normal times. Instead, Meranto has been busy securing permits from the Town of Henrietta to erect a giant tent on the center’s outdoor tennis courts, under which he plans to stage shows this summer and fall.
GTA COVID-19 patients have started arriving in Windsor â the first of dozens
As of Monday, Windsor Regional Hospital has accepted eight patients from the Greater Toronto Area â Â the first of many to arrive over the next week.

Ontario transfers dozens more COVID-19 patients as GTA ICUs buckle under 3rd wave
Ontario hospitals have transferred another 26 COVD-19 patients from intensive care units struggling to cope with the surging third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Peel expands hours at vaccine clinics, over 100,000 doses administered this week

The Region of Peel is trying to get more jabs into arms by expanding the operating hours of its mass COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
As of May 1st, the Save Max Sports Centre location in Brampton will run from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. while the clinic at Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Medical officer of health Dr. Lawrence Loh says the longer operating hours will allow more flexibility for people who prefer off-peak appointments or who need to book appointments before or after work.
