(file photo) Taranaki’s sporting fraternity will need to refamiliarise themselves with the alert level 2 restrictions again. It’s the third time the region moved into the alert level, first when it came out of lockdown in May and then in August after an Auckland community outbreak. Under Sport New Zealand guidelines sport and recreation can continue under the current alert level but restrictions will need to be in place. These include contact tracing, sanitisation of hands and equipment, limitations on gatherings and social distancing.
