The University of Maine at Augusta will hold two virtual commencement ceremonies to celebrate the Classes of 2020 and 2021. Last year, due to the pandemic, the Class of 2020 Commencement was postponed. This year CDC and state pandemic protocols continue to restrict large gatherings resulting in the virtual events.
Nearly 600 graduates in the Class of 2020 will be honored through a Commencement program that will premiere over YouTube, Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 10 a.m.

AUGUSTA A labor of love and service at St. Michael School will return next week after shifting to become a virtual event last year because of the pandemic.
The annual St. Michael School and Travis Mills Walk-athon will be held inside and outside the school on Wednesday, May 5. In 2020, an exercise challenge was held in its place, with students and staff participating from home.
This year, the school community, which has enjoyed in-person learning all year, will participate in the walk-athon in person as well, raising money for the Travis Mills Foundation through pre-obtained pledges.

ROME The Travis Mills Foundation will celebrate 10 years of Miles for Mills 5K virtually, with the main event taking place at 10 a.m. Memorial Day, May 31.
Participants are asked to use the assets page to print off a bib, walk how far they would like, and share a picture (or pictures) of that participation. Share the photos by tagging @Travismillsfoundation on Instagram and Facebook, and use the hashtags #WeRunToRemember and #MilesforMills2021.
This year’s goal is to get as many people involved as possible. The foundation is counting on all to help it forward its mission for what is normally the largest in-house fundraiser it puts on.
