But in New York, the state saw a decline of 50 fewer people killed by vehicles

Pedestrian deaths nationwide increased in 2020 despite a steep drop in miles driven during the pandemic, a new report from the national Governors Highway Safety Association shows.
GHSA projects there were 6,721 pedestrian deaths in 2020, up 4.8 percent from the 6,412 deaths reported in 2019. There was also a 13.2 percent decrease in vehicle miles traveled, and as a result the pedestrian fatality rate was 2.3 per billion vehicle miles traveled, up from 1.9 fatalities per billion VMT in 2019. That’s the largest increase since 1975.
TROY, N.Y. â The Troy Youth Association (CYO) recently announced that all of last yearâs successful General Appeal Chairpersons which surpassed the goal of $10,000 with a final total of $15,500 will be back on board.
They include; Frank Merola Rensselaer County Clerk and William Fagan President Wm.J. Fagan &Sons, Inc. Clem Campana, Facilities Manager at Hudson Valley Community College and Kelly Forenzo past CYO Center Programmer and fundraising Chairperson will again team up to work for the youth in the Troy Area.
The three officers and Forenzo have been active members totaling more than 80 years of service to the youth in the Troy Community through their involvement with the agency. Their dedication to the Center and the community was especially appreciated with the donors contributing to surpass the original goal

According to the Chief Editor of Premium Schools, there was a combination of factors that went into their decision. The two biggest factors were the availability of online programs, graduation rates and net cost (after financial aid).
