TROY – The sibling of a 12-year-old who was seriously injured in a drive-by shooting Monday on O Neil Street has been arrested on weapon charges, Troy police said Tuesday.
Upon further investigation, officers determined a home invasion/robbery happened at a residence on that block.
Police noted there was a conflicting report of what sounded like shots being fired but there is no evidence to support that at this time. The sound may have been the suspects kicking in the door of residence, according to police.
While officers were speaking with the victim, they were advised that the suspects may have fled out the back door. A perimeter was set up and after a search of yards in the area, a suspect was located in the rear vestibule of an occupied residence on 9th street.
