  OTTAWA Ottawa police are asking for the public s help locating a fraud suspect, who allegedly meets his potential victims through online dating sites. The Ottawa Police Organized Fraud Unit is looking for Rodney Crabtree, 49, of no fixed address in connection to several fraud investigations. Investigators say the suspect meets potential victims through online dating sites or by claiming to be a contractor/developer. He then proceeds to defraud them, said police in a media release on Wednesday. Police say Crabtree is known to use several aliases when meeting victims: Troy Williams

Spencer Cox (R-Utah) said that transgender students must be able to participate in the sports they want to play. He disagrees with a legislative plan that would ban all transgender children from playing in public middle, high school, and college athletics. House Bill 302 was created by fellow Republican legislators, led by sponsor state Rep. Kera Birkeland of Morgan, Utah, as a reaction to transgender girls playing on girls teams. Birkeland argues that persons born biologically male are disadvantaging biological girls when in athletic competition.

(AP Photo/Rick Bowmer) A bill that would have made amendments to Utah’s current laws surrounding the healthcare of transgender youth failed to pass a Utah House committee. HB92 is sponsored by Rep. Rex Shipp, R. Cedar City, and Sen. Curt Bramble, R-Provo. The bill would outlaw certain medical procedures on teenagers 16 and younger. The bill states outright in its text that it is “unprofessional conduct to perform a medically unnecessary puberty inhibition procedure or a sex characteristic-altering procedure on a minor.”
