In a last-minute game put together with in-state competition Northeastern State, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane finishes their regular season with a resounding 107-74 win.
Senior Brandon Rachal led the team with 18 points and Austin Richie scored 15 in his 26 minutes of play. Four other players put up double-digit points: Keyshawn Embery-Simpson recorded 14, Darien Jackson with 11, Emmanuel Ugboh with 11 and Rey Idowu with 10.
14 different players got on the court for Tulsa in the Thursday afternoon matinee, a good experience for the future of the program.
Troy Locke led the Riverhawks with 24 points, while Trey Sampson had 15 and Christian Cook had 16. As a team, Northeastern State shot 47% from the floor and 34% beyond the arc.

The push for the 2021 eight-team MIAA men’s basketball tournament is in full swing with just a handful of games remaining in the regular season.
Nebraska-Kearney (6-10; .445 scheduling points) has six games left starting with road tilts vs. Northeastern State (20-12; .242) and Rogers State (7-9; .495 points) this weekend. This year’s league tourney will be on campus sites on March 4 (first round) and March 6-7 (semifinals & finals). The current seventh/eighth place teams have eight wins and .545 scheduling points.
UNK is in Tahlequah on Thursday (7:30 p.m.) and Claremore on Saturday (3:30 p.m.). Those not in attendance can catch the action via
