From The Tribune staff reports TRUSSVILLE A Birmingham man was arrested in Trussville after attempting to pass fake cash at Kohl’s, according to police. Dedrick Deon Taylor, 29, of Birmingham, was arrested on March 30, at the store on Chalkville Mountain Road. He is now facing several charges including three counts of possession of a forged instrument first-degree, theft of property third-degree and theft of property fourth-degree. Investigators said Taylor bought items with counterfeit $20 bills. When he tried to return the items, he was arrested. According to a police report, Taylor gave Kohl’s over $1,000 dollars in counterfeit bills during at least two shopping sprees in March.
