Down 2-0, LAFC salvage draw with Whitecaps

Jose Cifuentes volleyed home a goal with 15 minutes to play to lift Los Angeles FC to a 2-2 draw with the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday evening in a Western Conference match.
Vancouver (3-7-5, 14 points) jumped to the lead in the 25th minute as Deiber Caicedo got behind LAFC goalkeeper Tomas Romero, picked up a loose ball after a bad clearing attempt from LAFC defender Moon-Hwan Kim and sent home a right-footed shot from very close range to the bottom right corner of the net.
The Whitecaps added their second goal in the 38th minute when Cristian Dajome leaped to head home a crossing pass from Cristian Gutierrez following a set piece situation. Dajome s header found the top-left corner of the net and never gave Romero a chance to make a save.
