Chelsea are willing to match Paris Saint-Germain s £56.1 million ($79m) reported approach. However, Hakimi is valued by Inter at £68.8m (€80m/$96m).
His agent Alejandro Camano played down links to the Paris club to FCinter1908, but admitted that the Moroccan s future is in doubt.
He said: “There is no negotiation underway with PSG, at the moment there is nothing. He is fine with Inter. Am I optimistic about him remaining at the club? This is difficult to say.”

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are set for a high-priced game of tug of war, and to the victor goes coveted Inter Milan full-back Achraf Hakimi.
PSG already tabled a €60-million bid for the Madrid-born Moroccan international, though Inter are resistant to sell Hakimi for anything less than €80 million.
Chelsea have yet to make a formal offer but are reportedly unlikely to meet Inter s valuation of Hakimi.
Hakimi played a vital role in Inter s first Serie A title since 2009-10, pairing seven goals and eight assists with appearances in all but one of the club s 38 league outings.
